February News from Made & Making

Made and Making have had a busy month gifting 11 catheter bag covers to St Peters and St James hospice, over 20 heart cushions to the Breast Cancer support teams and bonding squares to the premature baby units. They run charity sessions once a month, focusing on sewing in the morning and knitting in the afternoon. Projects are simple suiting beginners and intermediates alike and provide a great way to help without having to dig into your pocket. Full details can be found on their website here.

They are also celebrating the success of their sewing retreat weekend, held earlier this month. 19 ladies went off to a 4* Sussex hotel to indulge themselves in a little uninterrupted sewing. Over 2 days an amazing amount was achieved with beginners moving on leaps and bounds and those with experience tackling some more challenging projects. As one lady said "it is so satisfying to be able to focus on our projects without interruption and pick up top tips from your pocket size tutorials".
