First there was Stacey, the cheese-obsessed Australian. Stacey travelled the world indulging her love of all things dairy before finally making her home in the lush green valleys of Hampshire. Three children, two dogs, a menagerie of farm animals and a great deal of trial and tribulation later Stacey made the very first Tunworth prototype in her family kitchen. Then came Charlotte – a Hampshire girl born and bred – with a passion for provenance and a love for field to fork food production.
And so Hampshire Cheeses was born – a truly artisan dairy nestled deep in the Hampshire Herriard Estate – lovingly making delicious British cheese by hand.
Production has moved on from Stacey’s kitchen of course, but not too far away – Hampshire Cheeses is now based at a purpose built dairy just a stone’s throw from where it all began.
