Artists & Makers

George Carruth

It all began in 1980 when George Carruth turned his attention to sculpting images on rough stones from local sandstone quarries. By 1983, George had turned his stone carving hobby into a full time career, selling his stone sculptures at various art shows and exhibitions.

In 1985, George started to cast his designs in stone to enable multiple images of his designs to be sold at more affordable prices. Now everyone has the opportunity to own one of his unique collectibles from the Carruth Studio.
