Shoppers at The Sussex Food Hall have raised £1000 for charity! The Budding Foundation, who run The Museum of Gardening at the centre and support local young people in need, have benefitted from the fund raised from the proceeds of the 5p carrier bag charge. The total figure raised for the charity by customers and staff since The Heritage Centre opened last year now exceeds £5,000.

Recent grants made by The Budding Foundation include £1,250 for new equipment at Hassocks Youth Club and £1,300 to provide a specialist wheelchair for a ten-year-old boy from Burgess Hill with Cerebral Palsy. For more information, visit www.thebuddingfoundation.co.uk
